Duties and Responsibilities:  Assist mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients, working under direction of nursing and medical staff

Education:Education Requirements. Most jobs for psychiatric aides require completion of high school, and many require a driver's license to aid in the transport of clients to outside 

Demand for this particular career: Another primary duty for psychiatric aides is to assist patients with tasks of daily living. This might include helping patients eat, drink, bathe, and get dressed. Housekeeping duties are also part of the job description.
