I think this quote means that if your path is going the right way, and you decide to lie or do something wrong that path you had going the right way will disappear. Others lie about certain things to bring you down, but if you have hope in yourself and believe in yourself nothing will ever bother you; Only the only lies you make yourself believe. If you do your part on duty you wont have to worry about anything why because yourself is the only person you need to take care of.
